Over 30 years after he passed away, Grandpa Charlie's music has been published by the Smithsonian folk arts.Y'all! He played the fiddle in NY, DC, Chicago, all along the East Coast, New Orleans, and under the arch in STL! He was always happy sharing his love of music and the folk arts with the country in the 70's! He was a self taught musician who played piano, guitar, and the fiddle. He would be happy to know that his music has been published in a digital format allowing it to last forever...and by the Smithsonian, nonetheless. This is a blurb that was sent to me regarding this occasion, and the link below to sample the music of Mr. Charles J. Pashia. The photo I have chosen is from when he played in STL in 1978, and it's one of my favorites of him.

"Unavailable to the public for many decades, the 1977 recording I’m Old But I’m Awfully Tough:Traditional Music of the Ozark Region, has just been re-released on Smithsonian Folkways Recordings, the nonprofit record label of the Smithsonian Institution, the national museum of the United States."
